In Maharashtra, especially in Mumbai, the Pujari Foundation was established five years ago. The population of Mumbai is around 1.5 crore. 50% of the people in Mumbai live in slums. Families living in slums are hardworking and industrious. Apart from working hard and earning a living, the health of these poor families is neglected. At the right time, the capital earned on the health of these families is gone.
To help such poor families recover from this condition, we always organize health camps, provide them with appropriate support through social awareness. Various educational activities are implemented to instill an interest in education in the children of these families. Poor families have these sports skills, and seeing the sports skills of the boys and girls of such families, they are encouraged.
In social activities, those who fight for the interest of society and the country are honored and honored. Boys and girls are encouraged by implementing Indian cultural programs. This year too, on October 2, 2025, a unique initiative has been undertaken by the Pujari Foundation. A free health camp will be organized in the first week of every month. It was inaugurated on 2 October 2025, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and the holy festival of Hindus, Dussehra. Every month, a free health check-up camp is organized for the poor and needy. In this, the Pujari Foundation is working to diagnose rare diseases like ECG, diabetes, BP, blood test, general health check-up and cancer through examination to get rid of them.

महाराष्ट्रामध्ये विशेषत. मुंबईत गेल्या पाच वर्षांपूर्वी पुजारी फाउंडेशनची स्थापना झाली. मुंबईतील लोकसंख्या दीड कोटीच्या आसपास आहे. मुंबईतील 50% लोक हे झोपडपट्टीमध्ये राहतात. झोपडपट्टीमध्ये राहणारे कुटुंब हे कष्टकरी मेहनती आहेत. काबाड कष्ट करणे आणि उदारनिर्वाह करणे यापलीकडे या गरीब कुटुंबाचे आरोग्याकडे दुर्लक्ष होते. ऐनवेळी या कुटुंबाचे आरोग्यावर कमावलेली पुंजी निघून जाते.
अशा गरीब कुटुंबाला या अवस्थेतून सावरण्यासाठी आम्ही नेहमीच आरोग्य शिबीर राबवतो, सामाजिक जाणीवेतून त्यांना योग्य ते सहकार्य करतो. या कुटुंबातील मुलांमध्ये शैक्षणिक अभिरुची निर्माण व्हावी, त्यासाठी विविध शैक्षणिक उपक्रम राबवले जातात. गरीब कुटुंबामध्ये ही क्रीडा कौशल्य आहेत, अशा कुटुंबातील मुला मुलींमधील क्रीडा कौशल्य पाहून त्यांना प्रोत्साहन दिले जाते.
सामाजिक उपक्रमात ज्या व्यक्ती समाज आणि देशहितासाठी लढतात, त्यांचा गौरव करून त्यांना सन्मानित केले जाते. भारतीय सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमाची अंमलबजावणी करून मुला, मुलींना प्रोत्साहन दिले जाते. यावर्षीही २ ऑक्टोंबर 2025 रोजी पुजारी फाउंडेशनच्या वतीने एक आगळावेगळा उपक्रम हाती घेतला आहे. दर महिन्याच्या पहिल्या आठवड्यात मोफत आरोग्य शिबिर राबवली जाणार आहे. त्याचा शुभारंभ 2 ऑक्टोंबर 2025 रोजी राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी जयंती आणि हिंदू धर्मियांचा पवित्र सण म्हणून ओळखल्या जाणाऱ्या दसऱ्या ह्या पवित्र सणानिमित्ताने या आरोग्य शिबिराला प्रारंभ करण्यात आला. दर महिन्याला गोरगरीब गरजू व्यक्तीसाठी मोफत आरोग्य तपासणी शिबिराचे आयोजन करण्यात आलेले आहे. त्यामध्ये ईसीजी, डायबिटीज, बीपी, रक्त तपासणी, सामान्य आरोग्य तपासणी आणि कॅन्सर सारख्या दुर्मिळ आजारापासून मुक्ती मिळविण्यासाठी तपासणीद्वारे त्याचे निदान करण्याचे काम पुजारी फाउंडेशन करीत आहे.
सामान्य जनतेचे आरोग्याकडे होणारे दुर्लक्ष आणि त्यानंतर त्यांना गंभीर आजारांना सामोरे जाताना त्यांचे होणारे कौटुंबिक, आर्थिक नुकसान ही गंभीर बाब लक्षात घेता दर महिन्याला पुजारी फाउंडेशन कडून चेंबूर वाशी नाका येथील मुख्य कार्यालयात मिनी रुग्णालयाची रचना करून जनतेची सेवा हीच समाजसेवा म्हणून काम करताना मला अभिमान वाटतो, असे पुजारी फाउंडेशनचे संस्थापक अध्यक्ष श्री राजू पुजारी यांनी बोलताना सांगितले.
